Dripping Tales Records is born with the intention to offer deep psychedelic tales. Nothing happens in the state without them playing their part. TSE is the major music factor in Arkansas. This also inspired TSEi¢â‚¬â„¢s radio show on KABF 88.ģ FM i¢â‚¬Å"Tha Real Underground Showi¢â‚¬Â with DJ D-Dirt E and hosts Joe Flash and Grand Markee where only underground and local music is in rotation.īasically, Thoi¢â‚¬â„¢d Studio had to start from ground zero and be responsible for creating local support and building a fan base before they could execute their plan of going nationwide. TSEi¢â‚¬â„¢s main goal behind this was to open the door for Arkansas artist because they knew without a home base established they could not connect nationally. Everyone in the Arkansas looked toward other states for their source of music even the radio stations, but now one label had put it out there for the public to hear. These mix tapes were revolutionary due to the fact that they created a market for Arkansas music when there was no local market established. They have over 30 Thoi¢â‚¬â„¢d and Sloi¢â‚¬â„¢d mix cds featuring some of the hottest artist in the state.
TSE knew they could do the same for AR by chopping and screwing their local music or Thoi¢â‚¬â„¢d and Sloi¢â‚¬â„¢d as they would call it. They saw how screw blew up the Houston rap scene propelling the careers of just about all of the Texas artist you see out right now such as Lil Flip, Z-Ro, Big Moe, Paul Wall, Mike Jones, Slim Thug, Hawk, and many more. Thoi¢â‚¬â„¢d Studio was also associated with chopped and screwed music following in the foot steps of the late DJ Screw. Fans saw that there was a pattern of consistency for producing good music. These mix tape releases were the key to their street fame and creditability. This was a major factor in creating a name for themselves. To establish a buzz for the label, in late 2003, TSE began releasing mix tapes featuring artist that were on the label as well as other well known local artist. The release of i¢â‚¬Å"Thoi¢â‚¬â„¢d in da Studioi¢â‚¬Â taught these guys the ins and outs and doi¢â‚¬â„¢s and doni¢â‚¬â„¢ts of the music industry. The latter cd sold nearly 4000 copies regionally and is currently still being sold on the market. Thus far We AR Starz have released two cds: i¢â‚¬Å"Tyme 2 Shynei¢â‚¬Â a six song underground EP in 2001 and i¢â‚¬Å"Thoi¢â‚¬â„¢d in da Studioi¢â‚¬Â in late 2003. Members consisted of Elliott himself, Chaure i¢â‚¬Å"C-Luvi¢â‚¬Â Clemons, Mike i¢â‚¬Å"DolaMikei¢â‚¬Â McGraw, Kornelius i¢â‚¬Å"PoYoi¢â‚¬Â Haynie, and Steve i¢â‚¬Å"Ste-Feezyi¢â‚¬Â Anthony. He and classmates from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock started out with the five member group We AR Starz. Thoi¢â‚¬â„¢d Studio was founded in year 2000 by CEO Detrich i¢â‚¬Å"D-Dirt E. Thoi¢â‚¬â„¢d Studio Ent (TSE) is Arkansasi¢â‚¬â„¢ #1 independent record label currently with several artist on their roster: Tha A-Team (formerly We AR Starz), Chill Will, Cholly Japrie, Fauntana, Thoi¢â‚¬â„¢d Up Texas, BlackSand, Yung Squady, and Grand Markee as well as an in-house staff of producers ranging from some of the above mentioned artist to T-Lee Tha Archer. In the 90s, hes argubally among the best to ever come out of the south. Prince Of The Sth/Ex CD music Too bad Mystikal is locked up. One of the Souths best, Mystikal brought it.
